Mothers' Guild

Our Mission

The mandate of the Mothers' Guild is to raise money for the bursary fund. This fund is set up to provide deserving students with the financial assistance needed for them to attend Loyola.

Here are some interesting facts:

  • On average, about 120 students (that is 16% of Loyola's student population) benefit from the bursary fund.
  • The Mothers' Guild donated $77,500 to the bursary fund in 2017-18 (including over $47,800 from the proceeds of the school store).
  • The Mothers' Guild has been in existence for more than 50 years.

HOW WE HELP

Loyola Store Sales

Clothing sales are held before the start of school and on several other occasions during the school year. New and gently used clothing is available. For hassle-free shopping, we encourage parents to visit our online store.

Memorial Mass - November 4, 2018

This event is held every year in mid-November. The Guild hosts a reception following the Mass in the school Atrium.

Wine & Cheese - December 2, 2018

Our Wine and Cheese party is our largest fundraising event of the year. It takes place on the first Sunday of Advent. It provides the Loyola community with a fun opportunity to participate in a silent auction, games, raffles, socialize and to get a head start on Christmas shopping.

Communion Breakfast - May 5, 2019

Hosted on the Sunday prior to Mother's Day, it begins with a Mass in the Eric Maclean, S.J. Centre. A continental breakfast is served in the Atrium following the Mass, with invited guest speakers. The Mothers' Guild presents their annual report.

How To Help Us Help Others:

  • Attend our events
  • Donate items for the Wine & Cheese
  • Volunteer for the Wine & Cheese
  • Purchase clothing and store items

Loyola High School Mothers Guild Executive 2018 - 2019

The Loyola High School Mothers' Guild Executive is comprised of 15 volunteers, each serving for a 2-year term. Each year approximately one-half of the Executive Members conclude their mandates and subsequently their positions become available to other mothers who would like to serve on the Guild Executive.
